Privacy Policy

Last updated 6 August 2026.

This policy describes what GulfRabit collects, why, and who else sees it. It describes what the site actually does — including the advertising measurement below, which most shops leave unsaid.

What we collect

Data collected and the reason for it
WhatWhyWhen
Name, phone, addressTo deliver the order and to call you if the rider cannot find youAt checkout
EmailOrder receipts. Optional — the phone number is what we actually deliver onAt checkout, if you give it
Order historySo you can track and re-order, and so we can honour returnsOn every order
Cart and preferencesTo keep your basket between visitsStored in your own browser, not on our server
Advertising identifiersTo know which advert led to a sale — see belowIf you arrive from an advert

We do not collect your card details. Cash on delivery involves no card at all, and card and mobile-wallet payments are handled by the payment provider on their own systems. We never see or store a card number, a PIN, or a wallet password.

Advertising measurement

GulfRabit advertises on Meta (Facebook and Instagram). When advertising is switched on, two things happen that you should know about:

The purpose is narrow: to know which advert sold what, so we stop paying for adverts that do not work. We send Meta the order value and the product; we do not send them your name, phone number or address.

If you would rather not be measured this way, browser tracking protection or an ad blocker will stop the browser half, and Meta's own Ad Preferences settings control what they do with the rest.

Who else sees your details

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.

Cookies and local storage

Your cart, your wishlist and your recently-viewed products live in your own browser's storage — they never reach our server unless you place an order. Cookies are used to keep you signed in and to protect forms against cross-site request forgery. Clearing your browser data clears all of it.

How long we keep it

Orders are kept for as long as we may need to answer a question about them — accounting and tax records require several years. An account you no longer want can be closed on request; the orders behind it are anonymised rather than deleted, because a delivered order is also a financial record.
